Our IN-HOME ACLS Training class is conducted in your own home. We will do this for 1 or 2 persons.

You will be emailed an ACLS Key for the online portion of the course.  Upon completion, print out the certificate and call our office at 646-290-6540 to schedule a skills session.

You will receive a BLS key for the online portion of the course. Bring the BLS completion certificate to the ACLS class with you and you'll be tested at the end of the ACLS class. You will leave with both cards upon completion of class.

 

ACLS PRE-COURSE MATERIAL

** The textbook is not included in the price.  It is required for you to have the new 2015 AHA ACLS Student Manual to take the class.  The 2010 edition is outdated and no longer valid and will not be accepted.  If you have your own copy of the 2015 AHA ACLS Student Manual, please bring it with you.  You can purchase the book during checkout or at our training center.

 

It is now mandatory that you complete the AHA Precourse Self-Assessment Test prior to your scheduled class.  You must score 70% or higher in order to participate in the ACLS Course. This pre-test can be taken more than once.  Please be aware that this self-assessment test can only be taken using a PC Windows or Mac. You are then required to print out your results and bring them with you to give to your Instructor.  Failure to comply could result in your class being rescheduled.

**Due to the new 2015 AHA BLS Provider updates, there will no longer be separate classes for originals or renewals.  It is the same class for everyone.**

The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Online Part 1 Course offers a flexible training option for busy healthcare professionals. The online cognitive portion (Part 1) allows students to complete learning at their own pace and convenience.  To help students gain confidence in performing skills , Part 1 is combined with a hands-on skills session (Part2) where students have the opportunity for one-on-one practice time with an American Heart Association BLS Instructor.  A skills test (Part 3) with an AHA BLS Instructor ensures skills proficiency. Upon successful completion of all three parts, students receive their healthcare provider course completion card.

The Heartsaver CPR/AED course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.  The Heartsaver CPR/AED course covers the following:

  • Adult CPR AED (with mask)
  • Adult choking
  • Optional modules include child CPR AED, and infant CPR, including child and infant choking.

The American Heart Association's core Heartsaver classroom courses are for those with little or no medical training.  This video-based, Instructor-led course teaches participants critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) takes over.  Participants learn how to recognize, respond to and treat a variety of first aid emergencies, and perform CPR and use an AED in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest. The Heartsaver CPR/AED with First Aid Course covers the following:

  • First aid basics (including scene safety, finding the problem, calling for help and more)
  • Medical emergencies (including actions for choking, breathing problems, shock and more)
  • Injury emergencies (including actions for bleeding, broken bones, burns and more)
  • Environmental emergencies (including actions for bites and stings, and temperature-related and poison emergencies)
  • Adult CPR/AED (with a mask)
  • Optional modules include child CPR AED, and infant CPR, including child and infant choking.

Heartsaver CPR/AED with First Aid Part 1 is a web-based, self directed program.  The program teaches students critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage a first aid or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives.  Content includes how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies, as well as perform CPR and use of an AED.

The Heartsaver CPR/AED Online Course is designed to prepare students to provide CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner.  Heartsaver courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for work, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements.  These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

 

Upon successful completion of this course you will be prompted to print your completion certificate.  Then you will call the training center at 646-290-6540 to schedule a skills test.  You must bring the completion certificate with you to give to your instructor,
