Notes:	It is now mandatory that you complete the AHA Precourse Assessment Test prior to your scheduled class. You must score 70% or higher in order to participate in the ACLS Course. This pre-test can be taken more than once. Please be aware that this self-assessment test can only be taken on a PC using Windows or Mac. You are then required to print out your results and bring them with you to give to your Instructor. Failure to comply could result in your class being rescheduled. The ACLS Original Course covers the following:

• Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use of a bag-mask device and use of an AED
• Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
• Airway management
• Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team
• Effective Resuscitation Team Dynamics
• Management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and stroke
• Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
• Related pharmacology

MANDATORY PRECOURSE REQUIREMENTS 

It is required for you to have the new 2020 AHA ACLS Student Manual to take this class.  The 2015 edition is outdated and no longer valid and will not be accepted.  If you have your own copy of the 2020 AHA ACLS Student Manual, please bring it with you on the day of the class. You may purchase the newest 2020 AHA ACLS hardcopy Student Manual for $50.00 or you may purchase the AHA ACLS eBook for $41.50 (e-Books may take 24hrs to recieve)
