It is now mandatory that you complete the AHA Pre-course Assessment Test prior to your scheduled class. You must score 70% or higher in order to participate in the PALS Course. This pre-test can be taken more than once. You are then required to print out your results and bring them with you for your Instructor. The PALS Original Classroom Course covers the following:
- 1- and 2- rescuer child CPR and AED use
- 1- and 2- recuer infant CPR
- Cardiac, respiratory and shock case discussions and simulations
- Management of respiratory emergencies
- Resuscitation team concept
- Rhythm disturbances and electrical therapy
- Systematic Approach to Pediatric Assessment
- Vascular access
It is required for you to have the 2020 AHA PALS Student Manual to take this class. The 2015 edition is outdated and will not be accepted. If you have your own copy of the 2020 AHA PALS Student Manual, please bring it with you on the date of the class. You may purchase the newest 2020 AHA PALS hardcopy Student Manual for $55.00 or you may purchase the AHA PALS eBook for $48.00

Do you need BLS? You can also obtain your Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Certification by adding the BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Course to your order by clicking on this link: https://firstresponseadvantage.enrollware.com/enroll?course=48339. Complete Part 1 online, print the certificate of completion and bring it with you on the day of the PALS Course. Complete the BLS Skills Test with the Instructor and you will receive your BLS Certification Card along with your PALS Certification Card.

You are then required to print out your results and bring them with you to give to your Instructor. Failure to comply could result in your class being rescheduled.
